The Volvo assistance services are applicable 24/7  for vehicles purchased through our program. So that you can get on with living life – and still be excited about owning a Volvo after that new-car smell begins to fade.
 
 
What types of breakdowns are covered?

A covered breakdown occurs when it is technically impossible to continue the journey or is not permitted due to roadworthiness. For example, in the event of mechanical and electrical defects, a drained starter battery, empty fuel or AdBlue tank, incorrect fuel filling or contaminated fuel.

Contact us for punctures of all kinds or for key problems: if you are locked out or have lost or broken your key.

Of course, we can also help you in the event of a traffic accident in which the vehicle has been so badly damaged that it is no longer roadworthy. You can also make use of our Volvo Assistance in the event of an attempted theft that renders the vehicle unroadworthy, the theft of the vehicle or a vehicle fire.

Caravans and trailers are also protected, provided the breakdown was not caused by a defect in the trailer.
 
 
To whom does the protection apply to?
 
Volvo Assistance not only protects the driver, but also all other passengers. The coverage is transferrable when you sell the car.
 
 
What happens after I call roadside assistance?
 
Our roadside assistance service will try to repair your Volvo on the spot. If that’s not possible, you will benefit from the following services (subject to reasonable conditions and stipulations):
  • Towing to an official Volvo workshop
  • Accommodation -or- rental vehicle -or- return to place of residence -or- continuation of journey
  • Recovery of the repaired vehicle
  • International message services, banking arrangements, spare parts dispatch

fully electric: 3 years from day of first registration
After this period, the cover is automatically extended with each maintenance at a Volvo dealership within the German dealer network until the next factory-scheduled maintenance.
